I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The views were absolutely stunning, and the room was spacious and clean. However, the dining options were overpriced and left me feeling unsatisfied. While the location was convenient for getting around, the parking fees felt a bit steep. Overall, it’s a decent place, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Rooms

The room was spacious, clean, and included a small balcony with a nice view, though the towels were stained.

I had a decent stay at the hotel with its quirky charm and beautiful views of the Queen Mary. The rooms were comfortable, though a bit dated, which didn't bother me too much as I was primarily there for the location and views. The dining was hit and miss; lunch and cocktails were enjoyable, but dinner was overpriced and not worth it. The service was a mixed bag, with some staff being helpful, while others lacked professionalism, especially during check-in.

Rooms

The room I stayed in had a unique shape and offered a comfortable space, although the bathroom storage was limited. I suggest opting for rooms with views of the Queen Mary for the best experience.
Service

The service varied; while some staff members were helpful, I encountered rude behavior during check-in. However, the morning staff was accommodating, which helped improve my overall experience.

The hotel's location is fantastic, with easy access to the Queen Mary and downtown Long Beach via a handy shuttle service. It's a great spot for those embarking on a Carnival cruise, as the terminal is nearby.
Dining

I enjoyed my lunch and cocktails at the Fuego restaurant with its great views, but dinner offerings were limited and expensive. I'd recommend sticking to lighter meals during the day.

The pool area was well-kept, although the poolside bar was closed during my visit. The gardens and outdoor seating areas contributed positively to the ambiance.

My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. I truly appreciated the great customer service and the unique tropical vibe. The complementary warm cookies at check-in were a charming touch. However, the breakfast selection could be expanded, and some of the amenities need a bit more attention.

Rooms

The rooms were spacious and clean but could use some updating for better comfort. I particularly liked the layout, but the furniture could be improved.

The food at the restaurant was delicious, though I found the breakfast options to be somewhat sparse. They did have tasty grilled dishes for lunch, making up for it somewhat.
Facilities

The facilities were generally well-maintained and offered a relaxing experience, though I felt the pool area could have had more staff presence.

During my stay, I loved the stunning views from my water-view balcony and the warm welcome with delicious cookies at check-in. The service was generally good, though there were times when my needs weren't fully met, such as the pool area not being accessible when I wanted to use it. The location is fantastic, with easy access to attractions, but the dining options could be improved significantly, especially for breakfast. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I encountered some hiccups along the way.

I had a mixed experience at The Hotel Maya. While the atmosphere and outdoor areas are wonderful and fun for families, my room was outdated and didn't meet the high standards expected. The service was a bit lacking, especially with room service. However, the convenient location near the cruise terminal and the beautiful views certainly added to the experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room felt outdated with poor lighting and furniture showing wear. It had a wall AC unit instead of central air, which detracted from the comfort.
Service
6.0
While the staff was friendly, the service could be improved—room service got our order wrong and overall efficiency was lacking.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Long Beach cruise terminal and near major attractions, making it perfect for travelers.
